Olot’s Elmini music festival (in Girona, north of Spain) has announced the artists that will perform in its eighth edition. A bill full of indie pop-rock and alternative music band’s, among them stands out La Bien Querida, the mythical Granada band Lagartija Nick who celebrate 20 years of the publication of the album 'Omega' with the deceased Enrique Morente, the Murcians Neuman and Viva Suecia.
The music festival will take place in various places in Olot from Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 March. The presentation party will take place on January 27 with the Pavvla concert in the El Torín venue of Olot.
There will also act a plethora of Catalan music artists: Mazoni, Astrio, Les Sueques, Jo Jet and María Ribot, Pau Vallvé, Mariona Aupí, Ultim Caball, Marta Pérez, Howlin'Dogs, Violets, L'Home del Principi... Other artists that will participate in the event are Matthew McDaid and Fabrizio Cammarata.
The festival, as usual, combines performances on stages (El Torin, Orfeón Popular Olotí, Can Trincheria, Casino Olotí, Bar Bruixes and the Liquid Club) and at private homes or different places in the town without amplification and with a maximum capacity of 40 people. In these intimate concerts will perform Mazoni, Pau Vallvé and La Bien Querida, as well as Jo Jet i María Ribot, L'Home del Principi and Marta Pérez.
Among the novelties of the festival, in addition to being only on a weekend, highlights the musical vermouth that will take place on Sunday, March 4 at the Liquid Club. The group of folk versions Howlin'Dogs, led by Smoking Bambino, will perform, presenting their live album.
