Festival Castell de Peralada 2016. The Portland Symphony Orchestra (Oregon), led by Thomas Lauderdale, returns to Peralada in festive mood with a show that is perfect for celebrating the festival's anniversary. Pink Martini has conquered audiences around the world with its vintage sound; it fuses to perfection the dance beats of lounge with the orchestral elegance of 1940s bands, music hall, Latin-jazz and symphonic music into a single show and all sung in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese and even Arabic. During its hugely successful career, endorsed by 10 albums on the market, this group has played with over 50 orchestras around the world and has collaborated with numerous artists, such as Jimmy Scott, Rufus Wainwright, Chavela Vargas, Georges Moustaki, film-maker Gus Van Sant and performer Joey Arias, to name but a few. In 2014, it made its début with Storm Large as vocalist for the group. At this edition, Pink Martini is back on stage at Peralada with Large ready to seduce audiences once again with her sensuality and velvet voice. An evening of great classics for a classic summer night!
