Born in Holy Springs, Mississippi, Cedric Burnside breathes blues. At the age of 13, he began touring the world as a drummer with his grandfather, blues-learner R.L. Burnside, also known as "Big Daddy". And although he followed in Grandpa Burnside’s footsteps at a later age - with two Grammy nominations and wonderful blues records such as ’Benton County Relic’ and ’I Be Trying’ as a result - he remains extremely loyal to his family. An album with his younger brother Cody, one with his uncle Garry, ... In each of his projects Burnside delivers a contemporary Mississippi sound, with influences of funk, R&B and soul.
