You’ve watched the film, heard the album and gone to the screenings. Now it’s time to see the live band tribute show! Fresh from December’s sold-out comeback gig in The Well, Playback are hitting the Opium Rooms with their re-enactment of Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense, "Still Don’t Make No Sense". Come and watch as the band blast through all sixteen of the songs from the film, including classics like “Psycho Killer”, “Once in a Lifetime”, “Burning Down the House” and “This Must Be the Place”. The show also includes classic visual moments like the lamp dance and the Big Suit, and concludes with some of Talking Heads’ greatest hits. Playback is an "album tribute" band. We cover classic albums in their entirety, then round out the set with some of the artist’s greatest hits. So far our repertoire includes Bob Dylan’s Blonde on Blonde, David Bowie’s Aladdin Sane and our current project, Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense. The band’s core lineup includes Justin McCann (vox, keys), Kiruu (vox, guitar, keys), Alan Maguire (guitar), Gordon Dunning (bass) and Mark Finlay (drums). For Dylan gigs we bring in Dowie Mooney on vocals and harmonica, for Bowie gigs we’re accompanied by Paula Size and Karen Williams on backing vocals, and for our Talking Heads show we’re featuring Ronan Slater on percussion
