The Tubs is a Welsh indie rock band that blends jangle pop, post-punk, and folk influences into a unique sound that’s both nostalgic and refreshingly modern. Formed in 2019, The Tubs rose from the ashes of the beloved indie band Joanna Gruesome, with founding members Owen Williams and George Nicholls bringing a new energy and direction to their latest project. The Tubs’ music draws inspiration from British folk-rock and punk, echoing the jangly guitars of bands like Television Personalities and the layered vocals reminiscent of 80s acts like The Smiths and The Feelies.
