Being summer it is difficult that all the bands that performs in a musical festival can have a nocturnal schedule but it is true that not to all the bands affect them equally if their concert is celebrated day or night. The most palpable example of this phenomenon in the past Rock Fest BCN (Barcelona, Catalonia) happened during the afternoon of Saturday, July 6, about five o'clock in the afternoon. While the concert of the extreme metal group Cradle of Filth was totally dull, the next concert of Gun, a hard rock band, was held normally.

Dani Filth suffered because of what he called "that big hot yellow ball we're not used to see" that faced him. Dressed in black from top to bottom, with an included cape, makeup and screaming inhumanly, the singer shouted and blasphemed the heat in a vehement way, desperately threw a micro into the sky and it ended up crashing into the moat of the stage. The bassist directly disappeared from the stage during several songs.

Of course, five o'clock in the afternoon on a July day does not seem like the best time to schedule a symphonic black metal concert with Gothic influences. It's a style that clearly demands darkness, smoke and evil red lights. In broad daylight, the neighboring witch train installed at the entrance to the festival was more frightening.

The band played songs like 'Once upon atrocity', 'Malice through the looking glass', 'Cruelty brought three orchids' or 'From the cradle to enslave', songs in which Dani used his vocal techniques as 'screaming', gutturals or a more narrative. At his side, Lindsay Schoolcraft added a more lyrical voice in some passages.

The band, in addition to the singer Dani Filth and the aforementioned Lindsay, is formed by Martin Skaroupka (drums), Daniel Firth (bass), Richard Shaw (guitar) and Ashok (guitar).
