The Propagandhi have been one of the biggest attractions of the Barna’n’Roll that took place on Saturday, August 3 at the Poble Espanyol in Barcelona. It was an eternity that Canadians did not return to the city and, being one of the most mythical punk rock groups of the mid and late '90s - although their origins date back to the '80s -, it is not very well understood what they did the Talco Italians on top of them on the festival poster.

If there is something negative to highlight from their concert apart from the limited time they played is the sound. On the high side of the Plaza Mayor, one could not hear in good conditions the performance, it was necessary to move in front of the stage to listen to it in exchange for sacrificing any visibility. The venue was crowded, the 5,000 tickets avalaible were sold out.

The rest is all absolutely positive, their musical proposal, presenting ‘Victory Lap’, was one of the toughest of the festival and, instrumentally, probably the most interesting given its high technical level. His songs seem to be encompassed within punk-rock or melodic hardcore but sometimes they also approach metal. In addition, they claim their political message, they told in Catalan to the public: "Som antifeixistes" ("we are antifascist"). They also gave their opinion about the borders with the song ‘Fuck the borders’.

Propagandhi is formed by Jord Samolesky, Chris Hannah, Todd Kowalski and Sulynn Hago.
