Therion has been one of the groups that have been in charge of opening the last day of the Rock Fest BCN 2019, on Sunday, July 7, about two thirty in the afternoon, under a scorching sun at the Can Zam park in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, close to Barcelona (Spain). A schedule that certainly was not apropiated for the band of Christopher Johnson: with a long career of 30 years, a bulky discography, a show that includes a dancer and three singers and, above all, being the creator of the 'metal-symphonic', They deserved to have acted in the evening. However, a large audience 'got up early' to see the Swedes live despite the evident fatigue of three consecutive days of concerts underfoot.

The band appeared on stage with nineteenth century costumes despite the suffocating heat giving a theatrical atmosphere to their musical proposal that, through its three singers, combines lyric and raw, resulting in an elegant music like opera but with an overflowing energy like metal. In the beginning of Therion, they also used the voices from the extreme metal but now only clean voices, some more 'operatic' as Chiara Malvestiti, others more 'heavies' as Thomas Vikström, singing songs of inspiration occultist. The other singer, the Rosalía Sairem from Alicante (Spain), spoke evidently Spanish and even some Catalan and used them to communicate with the public. Christopher Johnsson said that Catalan is a very beautiful language.

The 'set list' has been composed of their best-known songs, hits like 'Lemuria' or 'To Mega Therion' although their latest work is 'Beloved Antichrist', a rock musical from which only a song has been played since perhaps a Music festival is not the most appropriate place to present a musical, the audience demands to hear the best known 'hits' with a beer in hand. The group is of variable formation and they are not exactly the same musicians those who record the works that those that participate in the tours. Therion includes Christofer Johnsson - alma mater of Therion - Thomas Vikström, Lori Lewis, Sami Karppinen, Nalle Påhlsson, Christian Vidal and collaborators Linnea Vikstrom and Chiara Malvestiti.
