The night of Wednesday, July 24, has been great for lovers of Brazilian music at the Teatre Grec in Barcelona. The guitar master Toquinho, a myth of Brazilian music and in top form with 72 years, has performed alongside Palafrugell singer Silvia Pérez Cruz and Navarrese double bass player Javier Colina performing Brazilian songs of the Bossa Nova style and remembering Vinicius or Jobim among other great Brazilian artists.

There has also been a time to remember Joao Gilberto, of which Toquinho has assured that "without him, we would not exist" before starting with 'Chega de Saudade' in front of an audience that had completed the capacity of the theater, absolutly sould out show.

The show has been divided into four parts: Toquinho alone, performing with prodigious mastery the guitar songs like 'Minha profissao' to happen, then, to be a Toquinho duo with Javier Colina.

A couple of songs later Silvia Pérez Cruz has appeared to sing 'Corcovado' by Jobim. Then it was Toquinho himself who has left the stage and there was improvising Colina and Pérez Cruz for a few songs like the bolero 'Ella y Yo' or 'La Tarde'.

Finally, Toquinho, "the teacher" for Pérez Cruz, returned to the stage to face the end of the concert with the great hits of Brazilian music such as 'Eu sei que vou te amar' by Vinicius de Moraes, 'Carinhoso' by Pixinguinha , 'A Felicidade' by Tom Jardim, could not also miss 'Garota de Ipanema' by Vinicius de Moraes and, to end the concert, 'O Xote das Meninas'.
