Complet musical program of 2015 Manresa Mediterranian Fair: Hip Hop & Cobla Sant Jordi, the opening show

The Mediterranean Fair 2015 edition opens on October 15 in Manresa with a show that promises an impact on stage -the Kursaal Theatre- mixing the traditional Catalonian sound of the Cobla Sant Jordi, electronic music and Hip Hop.

The idea is approaching on the same stage traditional folk culture and urban Hip Hop, with the dance company Kulbik & Dj Mario Nieto, getting a very dynamic scene. As the program of the show says, "the viewer will be immersed in the world of dreams, where even the most unlikely fits perfectly".

The show is called 'In Sleep' (‘In Somni’) and is a co-production between the Mercat de les Flors in Barcelona, ​​where can be seen from 1 to 4 October- the Mediterranean Fair of Manresa and the council of Barcelona.

Roger Mas, Tomatito, Asian Dub Foundation ...
Among the performances highlights the debut of new work by Roger Mas 'Irredeemable' (‘Irredempt’) just with guitar and stage of Lluís Danish or Tomatito that, after the death of Paco de Lucia, is the most respected flamenco guitarist.

The fair, "a strategic point in southern Europe in the field of world music", according to organizers, contains a program of contrasts with the presence of international bands like Asian Dub Foundation -jungle, dub, rock and hip hop-, Senegalese Cheikh Lo unveils its work 'Balbalou' or the Ukrainian quartet that combines percussion Dakhabrakha theatricality resulting in music that sounds spiritual and secular at the same time.

The female voices are well represented by the soul of Esther Rada, Kamylia Jubran, the duet between Nabyla Maan and Carmen Paris or neo-cumbia La Yegros.

Among the local proposals are Oques Grasses, Germà Negre, singer-songwriters Clara Andres, Alba Marbà and Laia Vehí, The New Catalan Ensemble (Newco), the Valencians Auxili, Dr. Wilson, Carles Belda and Joan Garriga, the Popular Ovidi tribute, 20 years!' with the voices of Miquel Gil, Jordi Fabregas, Pep Gimeno 'The Botifarra', Toni Torregrossa and Celdoni Fonoll or 8 bits electronic music of Meneo.

Other projects mixing disciplines: the heterodox singer Niño de Elche & Maria Muñoz presenting 'Seven Moons' (‘Siete Lunas’) or the Astrio funkys with Sonia Gomez, Pablo Puig and Pere Gumbau with the show 'The View' (‘A Vore’).

Humus programming is the OFF Fair: Mediterranean music with current arrangements by Malva de Runa or dancing with Cobleta de la Copeta, Morena and tradipatxanga –Catalan versions of disco hits - or folk root Trio Torreta, among other proposals that can be seen for free on Veige Coolinari restaurant at Sobrerroca Street, 38 Manresa.
