Health authorities could "puncture" the "health bubble" that music festival Cruïlla wants to create in the Barcelona Forum Park

The Cruïlla Festival today published a statement on its website stating that it wants to create a "health bubble" to carry out large concerts without social distance with perfect security conditions in the Parque del Fòrum in Barcelona. Spectators must have passed antigen tests with a negative result, as will take place at the Love of Lesbian concert for 5.000 people without social distance at Palau Sant Jordi on March 27 in the same city.

Thus, according to the festival statement: "During the Love of Lesbian performance at the Palau Sant Jordi, it will be safer to be among the public than walking down the street, because all attendees will have a negative result in a test of antigens ".

The objective of the Cruïlla is to be able to offer a festival with the same or very similar characteristics to those carried out before Covid-19, noting that the festival's line up would be based on local artists rather than big international stars: "we know that the most of you not only expect to see big international stars, but also have an interest in home-made music and are willing to close ranks to reactivate the live culture of the country. "

However, Primavera Sound, which is usually held in the same place as Cruïlla and which could have joined in this effort to make the Forum Park a safe place, announced a few weeks ago that it was postponing its next edition to 2022 due to not having the guarantees if it can be held, that is, although the rehearsal for the Love of Lesbian concert has a positive result, just as the one at Sala Apolo had previously, this does not ensure that the health authorities automatically allow this type of massive event to take place without no social distance.

And this could be one of the main reasons why Primavera Sound has not joined in this initiative, the fact that the Sala Apolo rehearsal has not led to concerts in halls without social distance, although its positive result and in principle, there is no firm commitment from the health authorities to allow massive concerts without social distance, although the result of the Love of Lesbian concert is also postive.
