Many attendees of the first Download Madrid complains about the festival

The first edition of the Madrid Download Festival is being covered by an avalanche of complaints from those attending the event. This can be read in the comments of the publications of the festival on their Facebook page. There are so many people who complain about the organization that surprises, in comparison, the few that talk about the quality of the concerts or the sound.

To the gigantic entrance queues in its first day of celebration add, according to FACUA consumer organization, that the organization of the festival "denies the entrance of food and drink from outside the festival - the second day of the festival the organization rectified - during full heat wave with temperatures of 40 degrees".

In a statement published on its website, FACUA- Consumers in Action says that "it has denounced the promoter of the Download Festival, which is held in Madrid these days, from 22 to 24 June, for not allowing bottles of water or food purchased outside, as well as for not watching over the safety of the attendees due to the high temperatures expected."

The denounce has been made "both before the General Directorate of Consumer Affairs of the Community of Madrid and the city council of the capital for the abusive restrictions it imposes on users who want to access the Caja Mágica".

The consumer organization considers that "with 40 degrees in Madrid, it is an aberration that the organization of the event does not allow users to even access bottled water, forcing attendees to buy it in open bars in the interior and benefiting from their need."

However, the festival has reacted and yesterday - second day of the festival - posted on its Facebook page that attendees could enter the festival with bottles of water up to 1.5 liters.
