Flamenco Festival of Nîmes 2019: Arcángel, Eva Yerbabuena, Rocío Márquez...

Nîmes is probably the most flamenco French city and its festival, the Flamenco Festival of Nîmes, is probably the most important of its kind in the Gallic country and the earliest in the flamenco circuit.

The festival will hold its 29th edition from January 11 to 20 at the Nîmes Bernardette Lafont Theater, the Odeon, the Roman Museum near the Sands of Nîmes or the Paloma hall, where the most heterodox proposals of cante –flamenco sing- and the dance will perform.

During the next edition will act Niño de Elche, Eva Yerbabuena, Rocío Márquez and Fahmi Alqhai -baroque music specialist-, Tomás de Perrate and Alfredo Lagos, the Flamenco Ballet of Andalusia, Chicuelo and José Luis Montón, Dani de Morón, Kiki Morente, Arcángel, María Terremoto - daughter of Fernando Terremoto - and dancer Ana Morales will close the festival.

There will be everything in the Occitan city: guitar, singing and dancing of leading figures of flamenco and emerging stars. Classic and contemporary flamenco.

In addition to concerts, at the Nîmes Flamenco Festival directed by François Noël, school sessions will also be held, the photographic exhibition 'Silencios Flamencos' by the Seville photographer Luis Castilla, will be screened 'Gurumbé, canciones de tu memoria negra' by Miguel Ángel Rosales , conferences on Enrique Morente or others in which the artist Arcangel himself will participate. Finally, Ana Morales will give a dance master-class for tangos on Sunday, January 20 at Bernardette Lafont.
