Huercasa Country Festival 2018: Steve Earle & The Dukes, The Band of the Heathens...

The fifth edition of the Huercasa Country Festival will be held from 6 to 8 July in Riaza (Segovia, Spain). It is a family atmosphere festival dedicated to American popular music. The organization of the event has confirmed the performance at the festival of Steve Earle & The Dukes and The Band of the Heathens.

Steve Earle plays American roots music and will present his work 'So You Wannabe an Outlaw'. He will be accompanied by The Dukes, a group formed by Chris Masterson (guitar), Eleanor Whitmore (violin and choirs), Kelly Looney (bass), Brad Pemberton (drums) and Ricky Ray (pedal steel guitar). The same formation which Steve Earle commemorated the 30th anniversary of 'Guitar Town', one of his most famous albums.

The Band of the Heathens, who have already performed at the Huercasa Nights touring concerts, will present their fifth album 'Duende'. They practice a folk-rock influenced by original artists like Chuck Berry, The Rolling Stones or even The Beatles.

Among the practical information highlights that children under 16, always accompanied by an adult, will enter the festival for free. In addition there will be a great performance of Line Dance and activities for the little ones. According to the festival, it states on its website: "Huercasa Country Festival maintains its commitment to be different, with three essential parameters: healthy living, rural world and music of North American roots, especially, country music, which symbolizes life in the countryside world scale".
