More than 300 injured in Vigo (northwest of Spain) when a wooden walkway collapsed during a Rels B concert

Night of fear in Vigo. On the night of Sunday, August 12, a wooden walkway - the As Avenidas promenade - of the port of Vigo has collapsed and more than 300 people have been injured, five of them seriously although the lives of none of them are not endangered, during a concert of Rels B. Rels B has been the one who has replaced Yung Beef after the controversy generated by his fighting with a spectator in the Atlantic Fest of Vigo.

The organization of the festival, O Marisquiño, has issued a statement in which it deeply regrets the accident and expresses its solidarity with the neighbors and attendees. It has also specified that the enclosure is closed by court order to determine the exact causes of the collapse of the footbridge.

The footbridge collapsed right at the beginning of the Rels B concert attended by thousands of people, after the first song, when the artist, according to 'El Faro de Vigo', asked the audience to jump.

Some of the victims fell into the sea and there were scenes of chaos and fear, since many could not get out of the water due to the inclination of the pier and the situation of the victims, some piled on top of others. Professional submariners have verified that no person has drowned.

López Veiga, president of the Port Authority of Vigo, has indicated that the cause could have been a 'structural failure' of a work that is more than 20 years old.
