A music festival invents an anti-coronavirus format

A music festival invents an anti-coronavirus format

The Montgorock Xàbia Festival has presented a new format that can meet the health demands that the coronavirus pandemic has placed over the agenda of governments around the world. It is an innovation called the Marko System that is characterized by dividing the capacity into boxes for about 50 people with their own access and a temperature control system for the attendees.

To guarantee the safety of the attendees, these 150-square-meter boxes and a 1.5-meter fence will have assigned toilets, food services with trolleys and a bar for every four boxes. The system is still in the study phase and could include more changes.

The festival was originally to be held on May 15 and 16 in the Valencian town (Spain), but has later postponed its dates to September 25 and 26 with a line up featuring Wolfmother, Leiva, Derby Motoreta's Burrito Kachimba, Maika Makovski, Shinova , Los Zigarros or Carmen Boza among other artists.

However, the Spanish Government has assured on different occasions that massive cultural and sports events will be the last to be held in the de-escalation of confinement measures against the Covid-19 coronavirus.
