Primavera Sound 2022: Lorde, Dua Lipa, Nick Cave, Massive Attack, Tame Impala...

The Barcelona's Primavera Sound music festival has announced its lineup for 2022 with headliners such as Lorde and Dua Lipa in a lineup with over 400 artists including Jorja Smith, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Massive Attack, Tame Impala, Megan Thee Stallion, Bauhaus, Brockhampton, Gorillaz, C. Tangana, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Idles, The Strokes, Tyler, The Creator, The National, M.I.A., Yeah Yeah Yeahs o The Jesus & Mary Chain.

The macro-musical event will take place from 2 to 12 June, almost two consecutive weeks of live music, in the city of Barcelona. Peaks of concerts will be formed during the weekends from 2 to 4 June and from 9 to 11 June, however there will be concerts throughout the week with the cycle Spring in the City, 150 concerts scattered throughout the city ​​of Barcelona and a grand finale with Brunch on the Beach, the last day dedicated to electronic music on Sunday 12 June, with Amelie Lens, Nina Kraviz and Peggy Gou.

Some artists will perform twice at the festival, on different weekends, such as The Strokes, Tyler, The Creator, Tame Impala, Gorillaz, Massive Attack, Charli XCX, C. Tangana, Bad Gyal, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and Jorja Smith .

After two years without being held, 2020 and 2021, due to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, the music festival has made a strong bet on its return by scheduling its largest edition in duration and number of groups performing. The price will also be XXL, whoever wants a ticket for the whole festival will cost 425 euros plus management fees and, the ticket day, 110 euros plus management fees. Tickets and season tickets will go on sale on June 1.

The creation of the Primavera Sound Foundation has also been announced, which, according to a statement on the festival's website, will bring together all the actions of Primavera's social responsibility to expand, integrate and focus on the surrounding neighborhoods. the Parc del Fòrum, the usual location for concerts, in Besòs, Maresme and Diagonal Mar - the first two quite degraded. Primavera Sound will move its headquarters to this part of the city with a new space dedicated to music, education, social integration, feminism and sustainability.
