The Barcelona’s Apolo venue will host an anti-Covid test

The Sala Apolo in Barcelona will host a concert with a capacity of a thousand people without social distance, something that seems irresponsible and unheard of in the times of the coronavirus. However, it is a pilot test of the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital in Badalona, with the help of the Primavera Sound festival, to carry out massive events with a rapid test, mask and hand washing with hydroalcoholic gel but without the required social distance.

The objective of the experiment, pioneer all over the world, is to test the spread of the virus in a closed space such as the Apolo venue with people singing and dancing very close together. Before the concert, all attendees will be tested for antigens to detect if they are infected with Covid-19 and a post-event control will be carried out to monitor and control their evolution.

The results of this test can be decisive in allowing massive events of a cultural or sporting nature, such as concerts or football matches.
