Azkena Rock 2017 Schedule: John Fogerty, The Hellacopters, Chris Isaak...

The spanish rock festival par excellence, the Azkena Rock of Vitoria is coming. The Basque festival will take place during San Juan, the 23rd of the verbena and the 24th that is properly the day of San Juan.

The bill, as usual in Azkena, mixes rock myths, very consolidated groups and new bands. Respectively it could be John Fogerty - with 70 years already fulfilled - will offer a concert of hits of the Creedence Clearwater Revival, Cheap Trick, the Swedish punk rock Union Carbide Productions or the also swedes Graveyard and its hard rock with a heavy flavor of the seventies.

There will also perform Tyger of Pan Tang - New Wave of British Heavy Metal -, The Cult -Ian Astbury-, Chris Isaak, The Hellacopters, Thunder or Loquillo among other artists and bands.

Among the novelties of the festival that takes place in Mendizabala are the screening of a documentary about the festival itself recorded by Juanma Bajo Ulloa or a ring of Mexican fight.

The festival usually devotes scenarios to rock idols fallen last year. This 2017 stage Gods is dedicated to Chris Cornell and Chuck Berry; The Respect stage, Greg Allman and Sharon Jones and the Love stage to Greg Lake and Javi Ezquerro (a reference for the spanish music industry and rock concert promoter).
