Cruïlla schedules 2021: Morcheeba, Two Door Cinema Club, Kase.o, Leiva...

The Cruïlla has presented the schedules of the performances of the 2021 edition, from Thursday 8 to Saturday 10 July at the Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona. A festival without social distance and free movement with a capacity for 25,000 people per day that seemed unlikely to be executed when it was announced, but which has a very high probability of being held together with the Canet Rock and the Vida Festival in the same conditions.

However, the public will have to pass a Covid-19 antigen test and wear an FFP2 mask, accordingly, the organization will have to carry out 25,000 tests three days in a row, from 3 pm to 10 pm at night, at a price of 8.5 euros each, money that has already been added to the ticket of the event. The festival follows the model of the celebrated Love of Lesbian concert at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona, ​​a test in which Cruïlla itself took part, or that of Mujeres in the Sala Apolo.

The festival's line-up highlights the presence of international artists, very rare at the moment due to the pandemic, such as Morcheeba, Two Door Cinema Club and Tom Walker, but there are great spanish rap stars such as Kase.o, Rayden and Natos y Waor. Also noteworthy are the presence of Leiva, Amaral, Fuel Fandango, Zoo, Manel, Dorian, Ana Tijoux, Coque Malla... Editors and Djaikovski have fallen from the lineup.

In this way, Cruïlla hopes to return a year before the rest of the macro-festivals such as Primavera Sound or Mad Cool with a format "like before", not counting masks and antigen tests, required by the measures current health services. All in all, it seems like the perfect conjunction between summer festival promoters looking to get back to their exact pre-pandemic model as soon as possible and an audience that wants the festival’s "debauchery". It does not seem that the time of reflection that has forced the Covid-19 has served to develop new ideas in this industrial sector.
