Monkey Weekend, 'younger brother' of Monkey Week, will invade El Puerto de Santa Maria during Friday 16 and Saturday 17 -June- in its first edition. The urban music festival will fill the Cadiz town with concerts of spanish emerging groups and others not so much as Rosalía & Refrëe, Cuello & Betunizer, Nuria Graham (image), Bejo, Lorena Álvarez, Las Odio, Za!...

Remember that the Monkey Week was held in El Puerto de Santa Maria until it reached a size that was unable to be held in El Puerto and moved to Seville. The Monkey Weekend is the return of this festival to its original location although, unlike Monkey Week, does not host professional days or showcases.

Nevertheless it does maintain the philosophy of making known "the bands of tomorrow" with a quarantine of concerts. Some of these concerts will be held in monumental venues such as El Castillo de San Marcos (only 400 tickets available), Hospitalito or Alfonso X square. Another special concert will be offered in acoustic format on the ship Anne Bonny.
