The strike of the 'riggers' will not stop the celebration of Sónar 2019

Sónar Barcelona 2019, despite all the problems it has suffered, will finally be done. The Sónar organizers will not easily forget the Sónar of July, outside of their usual dates, due to the coincidence with an event at La Fira de Barcelona: Lil Uzi cancels dates, A$AP Rocky arrested in Sweden and, finally, the strike of stage setters - called 'riggers' - that almost ruin the 26th edition of Sónar.

However, the 27th Social Court of Barcelona has endorsed the hiring of an external company of La Fira de Barcelona for the construction of the musical festival stages. A contract that, according to the assemblers of striking scenarios, violated their strike rights and, for this reason, they have taken the complaint to the court. Instead, the judge has dismissed the precautionary measures requested by the strike committee that would paralyze a festival that takes place from Thursday 18 to Saturday 20 July by a "principle of proportionality", "legitimately exercise the right to strike of a few, can never put in danger the viability of the workplace of many other workers, who also deserve the protection of the courts of justice. "

Sónar, on the other hand, has not made explicit mention of this problem in its social networks but it has published on its Facebook page photographs of the festival area with a very advanced assembly and, therefore, the veteran electronic music festival will be successful.
