System of a Down, headliners of Resurrection Fest 2020

The Resurrection Fest has announced that System of a Down will be the headliner of its 15th edition to be held from Wednesday 1 to Saturday July 4 in Viveiro (Lugo, Galicia, Spain). The festival also announces that its concert will be long lasting and that it will cover all its ‘hits’.

In the Galician festival statement, it is also anticipated that on Monday, September 23, many more names of groups and artists will be published to perform at the musical event.

Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, October 1 at 11:00 a.m. at a reduced price. In its previous edition, the Resurrection 2019 tickets sold out in February.

System of a Down, a group also known as SOAD, is an American band of Armenian descent formed by their charismatic singer Serj Tankian (voice, keyboard and composer), Daron Malakian (guitar and voice), Shavo Odadjian (bass) and John Dolmayan (drums ). The lyrics of their songs are vindictive and socially committed against violence, war, genocide, consumerism or social inequalities.

With more than 40 million records sold worldwide, fame came to them with their second album 'Toxicity' in 2001 and their single 'Chop Suey' was one of the most radiated in the US, being suppressed for several weeks after the 9/11 attacks in New York because it talks about suicide.
