Barcelona's Tomorrowland, evacuated after fire to the main stage

Barcelona's Tomorrowland, evacuated after fire to the main stage

A fire has forced to evacuate the electronic music festival Tomorrowland that celebrated today Saturday 29 of July its first edition in the enclosure of Can Zam in Santa Coloma de Gramenet (close to Barcelona, Spain). There were no injuries and the event was canceled.

The fire originated during a pyrotechnic show and, according to La Vanguardia newspaper, due to the overheating of a spotlight located on the left side of the main stage.

The organizers of the event have ordered the evacuation of the venue, about 20,000 people, after the main stage of the event burned in flames during the performance broadcast on a screen of the well-known DJ Armin Van Buuren.

Staff of the Mossos de Esquadra, firefighters and health personnel have moved to the Santa Coloma area.

The Tomorrowland of Can Zam is a version of the festival of the same name that is celebrated in Belgium.
