Two elderly people have escaped from their residence in Germany to go to 'the heavy metal mecca', the Wacken Open Air. The largest festival in its music style that brings together about 75,000 people every day.

The staff of the residence, upon realizing that the two people had disappeared, have called the police. Agents have finally found the two elders at three in the morning at the heavy metal festival.

According to the police, the two people were 'disoriented and confused' but they were clear that they did not want to leave the festival. After all, the policemen have been able to persuade them to return to the residence, where they have arrived escorted by a police car.

"They obviously liked the metal festival," the police spokeswoman said, according to the 'Norddeutscher Rundfunk'.

The Wacken Open Air has celebrated its 29th edition in the German region of Schleswig Holstein from the 2nd to the 4th of August in the village of Wacken with groups such as Judas Priest, Nightwish, Running Wild, In Extremo... The festival is so famous that has sold out the pre-sale tickets for the 2019 edition.

Their motto is 'See you in Wacken rain or shine'. Always rains during the days of the festival and the floor is covered in mud that the participants take advantage of to smear and embrace the audience that is specially well-dressed. This year, however, the public has had to endure the heat wave.
