Biography

Capsula is a dynamic rock trio with roots in both the Basque Country and Argentina, known for their electrifying sound that captures the wild essence of the 1970s. The band consists of Coni Duchess on vocals and bass, Martín Guevara on guitar and vocals, and Álvaro Olaetxea on drums. Since their formation over two decades ago, Capsula has made a significant impact on the rock music scene, blending elements of glam, garage, and psychedelia to create a unique auditory experience.

Their music draws heavily from the influences of the 1960s and the untamed sounds of the 1970s, incorporating styles such as punk, heavy psych, post-punk, and surf rock. This eclectic mix has earned them critical acclaim from industry luminaries, including producers John Agnello, known for his work with Sonic Youth, and Tony Visconti, famed for his collaborations with David Bowie and T-Rex, both of whom have worked with Capsula on various projects.

Inspired by Bowie's iconic "Space Oddity," Capsula's musical journey led to a fruitful collaboration with Visconti, who contributed to the band’s distinctive sound. Their recent albums, released through Adrenalin Fix Music and Vicious Circle, have solidified their reputation within the European music scene, supported by distribution from Head Records.

Capsula’s energetic performances and unique sound continue to captivate audiences, allowing them to stand out in a crowded musical landscape. As they move forward, the band remains dedicated to pushing creative boundaries while honoring the rich musical heritage that inspires their work. With a growing international fanbase, Capsula is poised to remain a prominent force in the global rock music scene for years to come.
