Biography

Palaye Royale is a Canadian-American rock band known for its high-energy performances, distinctive style, and genre-blending music that fuses glam rock, punk, and alternative influences. Formed in Las Vegas in 2008, the band is composed of three brothers: Remington Leith (vocals), Sebastian Danzig (guitar), and Emerson Barrett (drums). Originally performing under the name Kropp Circle, they rebranded as Palaye Royale in 2011, drawing inspiration from the Palais Royale, a historic ballroom in their native Toronto that encapsulated the band’s vintage-meets-modern aesthetic.

Palaye Royale gained a significant following in 2014 with their debut single Morning Light, followed by their first EP, The Ends Beginning. The band’s self-released material quickly attracted fans drawn to their raw, unfiltered style and visual artistry, which includes striking music videos, elaborate stage designs, and a unique fashion sense influenced by 1970s rock and roll. Their breakthrough came with their debut album, Boom Boom Room (Side A), released in 2016, which was noted for its gritty sound and themes of rebellion, self-identity, and love.

Their sophomore album, Boom Boom Room (Side B) (2018), cemented Palaye Royale’s reputation as one of the most provocative bands in modern rock, leading to a growing fan base and critical recognition. With their 2020 release, The Bastards, the band delved into darker, more introspective themes, tackling mental health, societal issues, and personal struggles with greater vulnerability and artistic ambition.

Known for their electrifying live shows, Palaye Royale has toured extensively across North America and Europe, earning a reputation for high-energy and immersive performances.
