Formed in 2004, the band consists of Jonathan Vigil (vocals), Zach Johnson (guitar), Chris Davis (guitar), Jim Riley (bass), and Andrew Tkaczyk (drums). Over the years, they have developed a reputation for merging aggressive hardcore with melodic metalcore, delivering powerful lyrics centered on overcoming personal struggles, perseverance, and self-reflection.
The Ghost Inside’s rise to prominence began with their debut album, Fury and the Fallen Ones, in 2008, followed by Returners in 2010, which solidified their place within the hardcore and metalcore scenes. Their next album, Get What You Give (2012), produced by A Day to Remember’s Jeremy McKinnon, brought them widespread attention with tracks like “Engine 45” and “White Light.” The album reflected their experiences of loss and resilience, themes that would become even more significant in the years to come.
In 2015, The Ghost Inside faced a life-changing event: a devastating bus accident in Texas that left several members with serious injuries, some even life-threatening. Drummer Andrew Tkaczyk lost a leg, and all members endured an arduous road to recovery, both physically and mentally. Despite doubts about their future, the band returned stronger than ever in 2020 with their self-titled album, The Ghost Inside.
