Dando joined The Lemonheads in the mid-1980s, and the band quickly became known for their jangly guitar-driven sound and Dando's introspective songwriting. The Lemonheads gained widespread attention with their cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson," but it was their 1992 album It’s a Shame About Ray that solidified their place in alternative rock history.
