Endea Owens brings back the best tradition of jazz double bass, with references such as Marcus Belgrave, Rodney Whitaker and Ron Carter. As a performer, he stands out for his sensitivity, versatility and spontaneity. Born in Detroit, birthplace of great jazz musicians, and educated at the prestigious Juilliard School, she has won several awards and played with Wynton Marsalis, Jon Batiste, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Steve Turre. He has also composed for the Lincoln Center orchestra and has been part of the Carnegie Hall orchestra, in addition to working on numerous educational and dissemination projects linked to jazz.
