Les Vieilles Charrues, one of France’s most beloved music festivals, is set to return to Carhaix in Brittany from July 17 to July 20, 2025. Celebrating its 33rd edition, the festival promises an unforgettable lineup featuring global stars like Alanis Morissette, Macklemore, and Damso, alongside rising talents and local acts. Held at the iconic Kerampuilh site, this year’s event solidifies its reputation as a cornerstone of Europe’s summer festival circuit.

The festival will span four days across four stages, offering a diverse program that caters to all musical tastes. On Thursday, July 17, Canadian singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette headlines the Glenmor stage, delivering hits like "Ironic" and "You Learn" to captivate fans. The evening also features performances by Tiakola, Trym, and Saïan Supa Crew, ensuring an eclectic mix of rap, electro, and rock.

Friday, July 18, brings international flair with Macklemore headlining the Glenmor stage. Known for chart-topping tracks like "Thrift Shop" and "Can’t Hold Us," the American rapper is set to energize the crowd. Julien Doré adds a touch of French artistry with his poetic lyrics, while The Kills deliver a raw rock performance. Gesaffelstein closes the night with his signature dark-electro beats, creating an immersive atmosphere.

Saturday, July 19, highlights include Aurora, whose ethereal voice transports audiences to a Nordic dreamscape, and Stereophonics, bringing their classic British rock anthems to the Kerouac stage. Martin Solveig ensures the dance floor stays packed, while Amelie Lens ignites the electronic scene with her pulsating techno sets. This day blends genres seamlessly, appealing to both mainstream and underground music lovers.

The festival concludes on Sunday, July 20, with a bang. Damso headlines the Glenmor stage, showcasing his sophisticated rap style alongside tracks like "Macarena" and "911." The legendary Sex Pistols, accompanied by Frank Carter, make a rare appearance, thrilling punk enthusiasts. Zaho de Sagazan and Ofenbach round out the evening with dynamic performances, leaving attendees with lasting memories.

Beyond the music, Les Vieilles Charrues offers a vibrant cultural experience. Festival-goers can explore local crafts, enjoy Breton gastronomy, and engage with environmental initiatives led by organizations such as La Mòssa and Mitsune. A dedicated camping area provides free accommodation for attendees, fostering a sense of community among the 250,000 expected visitors.

Les Vieilles Charrues has consistently drawn massive crowds since its inception in 1992, earning recognition as France’s largest paid-entry music festival. Its ability to attract top-tier artists—from James Brown and Bruce Springsteen to contemporary icons like Sting and PJ Harvey—underscores its enduring appeal. The 2025 edition continues this legacy, uniting generations through music and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Brittany.
