Primavera Club 2015, suggestions for music explorers

Primavera Club filled the agenda of Nou de la Rambla’s Apolo clubs and Rambla’s Principal & Latino Theatre (this time the Parallel’s Barts club is left out) from 23 to 25 October 2015 with exploratory musical offerings, many risky and, for those who are not 24 hours a day thinking about music -especially Anglo-Saxon- unknown but by no means the bands are uninteresting.

Tips: open your ears, do not rush for all groups, use your intuition which worths more than two thousand previous announcing 'The X Primavera Club 2015 essential groups' and music labels, as for sure happens in this text, don’t suit to the sound of a particular group. Enjoy the new musical paths that open, it would appear that some are too steep but who knows, perhaps from up there you can see a good landscape.

They are altogether 39 names covering so many styles that it’s useless to try to classify them. Among them you could guess that Algiers would be the headliners. These three guys from Atlanta who had the audacity to put together punk and gospel, but also blues-rock and funky, and that could give one of the most intense concerts of the festival. They are compared with 'TV on the Radio'.

Another group that stands out is Naked, specialized magazines compared them with Cocteau Twins or The XX, with the sinister whispering voice of singer Agnes Gryczkowska which seems otherworldly.

You can find electronic pop artists (US Girls, Empress Of and Shura), techno, dub, tropicalism (Cristobal and the sea), kraut rock (Jilguero, Blood Quartet and Redthread), stoner (Bell Witch), metal (Barbarian Swords ), folk (Samantha Crain, Jessica Pratt, Richard Dawson and Fraser A. Gorman) doom (Monarch!), shoegaze (Novella), noise (Container), experimental (Topogràfic Ensemble, who recently played in the new Hiroshima Theater and they have a full staging), Apolo Dj’s Coco & Dj Fra, psychedelia (Astralia) or a Russian pianist Lubomyr Melnyk, able to play 13 notes per second for a while.

The festival also offers plenty of the local scene and groups will perform here as yourself Hazte Lapón, Bastante, Heather, Blood Quartet, Cala Vento or Sant Miquel. Beyond trying to describe how sounds those bands, we invite you to listen quietly the links to their concerts we offer you below.
