The Doctor Music Festival confirms that it moves to Montmeló, near Barcelona

The organization of the Doctor Music Festival has finally recognized the impossibility of carrying out the event in Escalarre, in the Lleida Pyrenees (north of Catalonia), due to the legal regulations that point out that the land where the festival should be located may get flooded, as it had already advanced 'TV3'. However, in a statement, the Doctor Music Festival replies that the regulations are applied with excessive rigor since, according to them, this land has never been flooded, at least since there are records.

Doctor Music will finally take place in Montmeló, 32 km from Barcelona, without an opening day, going from four to three days, from July 12 to 14, and increasing Barcelona's festival agenda, about to explode in July.

The festival has been able to maintain all the performances except for Chris Robinson Brotherhood. The festival has highlighted the kindness of Billy Corgan from The Smashing Pumpkins for agreeing to perform before The Strokes for the good of the festival.

However, the festival has announced a new list of additions: Sopa de Cabra -interpreting their album 'Ben Endins'-, Luciano, Empire of the Sun, Johnny Marr, Kamasi Washington, Texas, Sophie Hunger, Nahko & Medicine For The People, Obeses, Hollow Cry, Iaia, Stay, Putochinomaricón, They, El Petit de Cal Eril, Alè d'Euga and Maritrini and Sussicarios.

The Doctor Music Festival will have the largest stage ever assembled in southern Europe with a total of 162 meters long. This macrostage is designed by Ray Winkler, from the London studio Stufish Entertainment Architects, responsible for the stage productions of AC/DC, U2, Metallica, Madonna, Muse or Pink Floyd.

In the Circuit de Catalunya de Montmeló, with a radical change of scenery, from the Pyrenees green mountains to the asphalt in July, there will also be a stage dedicated to electronic music called Force Field.

Finally, the festival announces new prices: 1 day, 62 euros; 2 days, 120 euros and three days, 170 euros. Without counting distribution costs.
