TV3 points that the Doctor Music Festival will be held in Montmeló, near Barcelona

TV3 points that the Doctor Music Festival will be held in Montmeló, near Barcelona

The Catalan public television network, TV3, ensures that the music festival Doctor Music will change the location of the meadows of the Pyrenees to the asphalt of the Montmeló speed circuit, near Barcelona.

According to this information, the change was due to the denial of permission to carry out the festival in Escalarre, in the Catalan Pyrenees, due to environmental issues, the land where the festival would be classified as flooded. It is also anticipated that the festival will go from four to three days, from July 12 to 14, and that the line up will remain intact.

The idea that for years has sold the promoter Doctor Music of a revival edition, 24 years after the last Doctor Music Festival, has completely collapsed. Undoubtedly a big disappointment, if the information of TV3 is true, for the expected 55,000 attendees who will pass from the idyllic surroundings of the Pyrenees, surrounded by nature, to the asphalt tracks of Montmeló. Surely the tourism and hotel sector of Pallars Jussà i Sobirà will notice the blow.

It is expected to perform Rosalia, King Crimson, Primal Scream, Behemoth, Berri Txarrak, The Blaze, Carl Craig, Els Catarres, The Cat Empire, Charlotte De Witte, The Chemical Brothers, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Christine and The Queens, Damian Lazarus, Doctor Prats, a hologram of Frank Zappa, Greta Van Fleet, Hawkwind, James Bay, Jamie Jones, Jimmy Cliff, Joan Dausà, Mando Diao, Opeth, Parov Stelar, Parquet Courts, The Sticker, Els Pets, Quimi Portet, Richie Hawtin, Sabaton, The Sisters of Mercy, The Smashing Pumpkins, Sober, Sopa de Cabra, The Strokes, Dj Tennis, Tesseract, The Twilight Sad, Tom Walker, Underworld, Viva Suecia, The Voidz, Albert Pla y Los Sujetadores, Âme, Anathema and Yoghourt Daze.
