The Gijón Sound Festival is the first great musical event of the Asturian capital (north of Spain), until the Tsunami Gijón, Metropoli or Gijón Life will arrive. Not only will there be music, there will also be talks, exhibitions, workshops, theater and round tables. The organization has thought of all audiences, including the youngest ones, with a section exclusively for them, the Festykids.

The festival organization has given special importance to parity with 50 percent of women in concerts and other activities.
