Singer of The Prodigy, Keith Flint, dies

Keith Flint, iconic singer of the electronic and industrial music band The Prodigy, has appeared dead at his home (Dunmow-Essex-, England) on the morning of March 4. The cause of his death is unknown.

His bold image, with a very peculiar hairstyle - fluorescent hair pikes on the sides of his head - and his hit 'Firestarter' are an image of the music scene of the '90s. Also with the single 'Breathe' he got the number one in the United Kingdom.

The band, very active live in recent years, had confirmed its presence in the Doctor Music Festival Revival edition and also planned an American tour in May.

The Prodigy were the band that most successfully emerged from the Acid House scene of the late '80s. Keith Flint and Dj Liam Howlett met in a rave and recorded a mixtape. The name was taken from the brand of Howlett's favorite synths. After the tape was sent, the band began its professional career. Their performances are remembered for their ferocious intensity.
