Igualada's 2015 Fiesta Mayor: Els Pets, Tomeu Penya, Los Tiki Phantoms, The Gospel Viu Choir...

The Igualada’s 2015 Fiesta Mayor begins and Els Pets, The Gospel Viu Choir, Tomeu Penya, Los Tiki Phantoms and Dj Monica looks as the most popular bands & artists. The capital of the region of Anoia will be celebrating from 17th to 24th August.

Besides the typical festival concerts as the Habaneras -in this case with the band Arjau-, Batucada or dancing Sardana, Igualada offers concerts in the squares and streets for free from the Tarragona Els Pets, on his 30th birthday, or the Mallorcan singer-songwriter with a country style Tomeu Penya.

Classical lovers will also have his corner at the party -although they will pay eight euros- with a concert by the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Anoia in the Ateneo Municipal Theatre (Grieg, Beethoven, Dvorak, Camille Saint-Saens ...).

One of the areas where most of the concerts of the festival will be located is Cal Font square. There will perform The Gospel Viu Choir, The Moonwalkers (tribute to Michael Jackson), Please (tribute to U2), Monica Mira -the DJ bearing the sound of Ibiza to Igualada- or Els Pets.

Young people have their space in the barracks of the street Dr. Joan Mercader. There will be playing Los Tiki Phantoms surf-rock act and other groups such as Eldorado, Anything or Blowfuse - thanks to Igualada Rock City-. More bands performing in this space will be Zoo, Carmina Wanted or Kòdul.

Other outstanding performances will be the actor Guillem Albà with Marabunta and The All In Orchestra show or Miquel Roig in the Plaza del Pilar.
