Spanish music festivals via streaming against coronavirus

Spanish music festivals via streaming against coronavirus

It's ugly to say it but we told you, yes, that a reinvention of live music was necessary after the pandemic explosion that the coronavirus has left across the planet. Until there is a vaccine for COVID-19, it is quite likely that the public and musicians will have to adapt to new types of concerts, including live concerts via streaming.

China leads the way in this new type of concert with virtual festivals and live performances broadcast on the BiliBili video portal, the Chinese response to YouTube. There you can see rock, pop, techno shows ... for which artists are already considering selling tickets per display.

In Spain, two very interesting initiatives have emerged with different types of artists as protagonists. The best known is the Yo Me Quedo En Casa Festival (I Stay At Home Festival), from March 13 to 15, completely digital and in which the artists will perform live, a concert that can be seen on their Instagram profile. The "attendees" will jump from profile to profile according to the festival schedule - they can be seen here. According to its organizer, Franchejo Blázquez, the response to his idea was so well received that it was completed in just a few hours. It wouldn't be so independent as it seems, at the end of their website appears the Warner Music logo copyright.

The artists will perform half an hour and share what they want with the public, they are spanish well-known names such as Rozalén,  Andrés Suárez, David Otero, Sofia Ellar, Dani Fernández, Marta Soto, Demarco Flamenco, Alfred García, Funambulista, Nil Moliner, Diana Navarro, Marwan, Dvicio, Suu o Carlos Sadness. También actuarán Desvariados, Molina Molina, Kuve, Arde Bogotá, Pablo Moreno, Yarea, David Rees, Tuotrabonita, Sienna, Lucas Colman, Ainoa Buitrago, Funzo & Baby Loud, Roi Méndez & Jorge Marazu, Dani Marco (Despistaos), Gomz, Amber Figueroa, Emlan, Yoly Saa, Mr Kilombo, Paul Alone, Muerdo, Maria Artés & Maki, Shinova, Georgina, Marta Soto, Dani Fernández, Funambulista, Vega, Veintiuno, Jacob Mey, Manel Navarro, María Peláe i Isma Romero.

A totally altruistic way to combat the isolation to which the spread of the coronavirus compels the population with caution and responsibility.

The other initiative is the Cuarentena Fest (Quarantine Fest), Music Festival in Streaming in Difficult Times, independent labels and artists that do not think to stop and face the phenomenal threat posed by the coronavirus. It will take place from March 16 to 27th and will be performed by Airu, Alien Tango, Ángel Calvo, Ayalga, Bárbara, Betacam, Cabiria, Cariño, Carlota, Casero, Confeti de Odio, Daniel Daniel, Estrella Fugaz, Evripidis and His Tragedies, Ganges, José Ignacio Martorell, Kids From Mars, lashormigas, Le Nais, Lois, Marcelo Criminal, Malamute, Marcos y Molduras, Megansito el Guapo, Paco Moreno, Pavvla, Pixel de Stael, rebe, Santi, Stephen Please, Valdividia and more to be confirmed .
