Today a clinical trial is being held with a concert without social distance of 1,000 people in the Barcelona’s Apolo venue

About 1,000 people participate in the clinical trial on Covid-19 in the form of a concert without social distance in the Sala Apolo in Barcelona, although attendees will have to wear a FFP2 mask, use hydroalcoholic gel and have the Radar Covid application activated. Before entering the venue, the public will take three tests in the neighboring Parque de las Tres Chimeneas: PCR (December 11), antigen test (December 12) and, one week later -on December 20 -, a second PCR.

The objective of this project promoted by Primavera Sound, the Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital and the Lluita Contra el Sida Foundation is to monitor the public -volunteer- and analyze if the tests are a valid system as a strategy for ‘screening the public’ of a massive event.

However, the volunteers will be divided into two groups and only half will access the concert and see the bands Mujeres, Renaldo y Clara, Unai Muguruza and Dj Marta Salicrú, the rest will be part of a control group that will serve to compare the evolution of the infections of the two groups. Neither can be part of the study people outside the age range that goes from 18 to 59 years and people who live with people over 70 years of age.
