One of Europe’s most iconic electronic music gatherings is preparing to return to the desert. The Monegros Desert Festival has revealed the first wave of artists for its 2026 edition, scheduled for Saturday, July 25 in the arid landscape of Fraga, Aragón. Now in its 33rd edition, the festival continues to build on its reputation as one of the largest and most intense rave experiences in Europe, transforming the desert into a temporary city of sound, light and movement for more than 50,000 ravers from over 90 countries.

The first lineup announcement includes around 80 artists, with the final roster expected to surpass 120 performers across more than a dozen stages. As usual, the programming blends established legends of the global techno scene with emerging forces shaping the harder and more experimental directions of contemporary club culture.

Among the biggest names confirmed so far are techno heavyweights such as Richie Hawtin, Len Faki, Joseph Capriati and Ben Sims, alongside Spanish favorites like Andrés Campo and Paco Osuna. The lineup also highlights cutting-edge names dominating today’s harder club circuits, including Amelie Lens, Kobosil, Alignment and Vendex.

The festival continues to push forward-thinking techno sounds with artists such as Ignez, Setaoc Mass, Dax J and Héctor Oaks, while the psychedelic and trance-leaning side of the lineup is represented by acts like Astrix and the rising star Indira Paganotto.

One of the biggest innovations for 2026 will be OUTWORLD, the ambitious stage concept developed by Klangkuenstler. Designed as a 360-degree immersive environment capable of hosting more than 20,000 people, the project blends techno performance with large-scale visual architecture and lighting design. Its debut in Monegros will mark the only outdoor presentation of the concept worldwide in 2026, reinforcing the festival’s reputation for spectacular production and experimental staging.

Other highlights include the return of the legendary Dutch techno brand Awakenings with its own curated stage, as well as a renewed collaboration with Unreal, the industrial techno collective from Germany. Meanwhile, the popular Face-to-Face format will also return, pairing artists in high-energy back-to-back sets such as Adrián Mills F2F Cloudy, SHDW F2F Alarico and Paula Cazenave F2F Flug.

Founded in the early 1990s by the Arnau family, Monegros Desert Festival grew out of the dream of bringing the spirit of European rave culture to the vast landscapes of northeastern Spain. Over the decades it has evolved into one of the continent’s most distinctive electronic music events, known for its intense climate, immersive staging and marathon 22-hour non-stop rave format.

With dozens more artists still to be announced and new stage concepts on the horizon, Monegros Desert Festival 2026 is once again shaping up to be one of the most ambitious electronic music events of the summer. Tickets are already available through the festival’s official channels, as thousands of ravers prepare for another pilgrimage to the Spanish desert.

The 33rd edition of Monegros Desert Festival will take place on July 25, 2026 in Fraga (Spain), featuring 22 hours of non-stop electronic music, more than 80 artists confirmed so far, and the world premiere of OUTWORLD.
