The Altaveu Festival returns in 2025 for its 36th edition under the slogan "The Sound That Identifies Us," establishing itself as one of the most prominent public festivals in Catalonia. From September 11th to 14th, Sant Boi de Llobregat will vibrate with a program that celebrates sonic identity through unique artists, both established and emerging, who offer honest and deeply personal proposals.

A Lineup That Highlights Musical Authenticity
Altaveu 2025 focuses on unique voices that connect with reality and avoid imitation. Among the confirmed names are Pau Vallvé, who will present his album Agorafília, and Derby Motoreta's Burrito Kachimba, one of the most beloved bands in Spanish rock. Also on hand are Remei de Ca la Fresca, with her direct and committed energy, and Violeta Veinte, whose sensitivity and violin have won over critics and audiences alike.

Other artists include Carmen Lancho, influenced by bedroom pop; Paco Pecado, a kitsch singer-songwriter who blends cabaret and irreverent folklore; and Xavi Efe & Nyah, who will present a repertoire inspired by jazz, R&B, and crossover. Additionally, a tribute to Brian Wilson & The Beach Boys will be paid at the festival's opening with a collective concert featuring local musicians.

The lineup also highlights emerging talent through the Altaveu Frontera space, where Mapache Gris and Koré, selected after submitting their performances to the festival competition, will perform. These young artists reinforce Altaveu's commitment to diversity and the discovery of new musical horizons.

Beyond the Concerts: Parallel Activities
Altaveu is not just about live music. This year, the festival expands its offerings with the Altaveu+ space, which includes an exhibition dedicated to the visual work of photographer Olaf Pla Gràcia, the traditional Record and Musical Book Fair, and a series of talks on different facets of music.

For children and their families, the festival offers Altaveu en Família, an initiative designed to share the musical experience between generations. This space will include educational activities and concerts designed to bring music closer to children, with a special focus on punk as an inclusive and transformative genre.

A Festival Committed to Public Culture
With more than three decades of history, Altaveu continues to be a benchmark for universal access to culture. Its programming reflects a firm commitment to artistic quality, diversity, and experimentation. According to Víctor Partido, the festival's artistic programmer, "this year we want to emphasize music that is not imitated, that speaks from who you are. We believe that one's own voice is a driving force of cultural transformation."

The festival offers affordable prices, with daily tickets starting at €6 and an affordable general pass, as well as free admission to activities such as the Brian Wilson tribute. Children up to 14 years old enjoy significant discounts, reinforcing the inclusive nature of the event.

Program Highlights
September 11 (opening): Sail On, Sailor, a Santboià tribute to Brian Wilson & The Beach Boys, featuring local musicians (Jardins de l’Ateneu, free admission).
September 12: Violeta Veinte at Cal Ninyo (€6), followed by Paco Pecado at Plaza Ajuntament (free).

A Celebration of Diversity and Creativity
Altaveu 2025 is not just a music festival, but a celebration of cultural and artistic identity. From its opening to the last chord, the event invites us to reflect on how music can be a profound reflection of who we are, connecting emotions, stories, and territories.
