Legendary British band The Cure, fronted by the Robert Smith, has announced a series of new dates for their highly anticipated 2026 summer tour, cementing their status as one of rock’s most enduring acts. Following their recent festival announcements, the band has added two outdoor concerts in Berlin and confirmed their role as the closing headliners for Belgium’s Rock Werchter 2026.
A Monumental Return to Rock Werchter
The Cure will headline the final night of Rock Werchter 2026, set to take place from July 2–5 in Werchter, Belgium. This marks their eighth appearance at the festival, with their history dating back to their debut performance in 1981. Over nearly five decades, The Cure has captivated audiences worldwide, and their inclusion in next year’s lineup underscores their timeless appeal.
“Few bands manage to remain both relevant and beloved for nearly five decades,” festival organizers said in a statement. “The Cure continues to resonate with and inspire generations. It is a rare phenomenon in the music world.”
Tickets for Rock Werchter go on sale on November 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. local time, with pre-registration available now via the festival’s official website.
Two Nights in Berlin
In addition to their festival commitments, The Cure will bring their electrifying live show to Parkbühne Wuhlheide, an expansive outdoor venue in Berlin, for two consecutive nights on July 10 and 11, 2026. These performances will feature support from Scottish post-punk luminaries The Twilight Sad and Irish shoegaze sensations Just Mustard, ensuring an immersive experience for fans.
Tickets for the Berlin shows go on pre-sale starting October 13, 2025, with registration available through the band’s official channels. General tickets will follow shortly after.
A Star-Studded Festival Circuit
The Cure’s 2026 itinerary already includes headlining slots at some of Europe’s biggest festivals, including:
Primavera Sound in Barcelona (June 3–7)
Nova Rock in Nickelsdorf, Austria (June 12)
Isle of Wight Festival in Newport, UK (June 18–21)
Øya Festival in Oslo, Norway (August 12)
Rock en Seine in Paris, France (August 30)
Each stop promises a career-spanning setlist that blends classic hits like “Friday I’m in Love” and “Just Like Heaven” with tracks from their critically acclaimed 2024 album, Songs of a Lost World. Frontman Robert Smith recently teased a potential companion album, describing it as “more varied” but containing “probably the saddest song of all.”
UK and Ireland Headline Shows
Before their European festival run, The Cure will embark on a string of intimate yet grand headline shows across the UK and Ireland. Kicking off at Dublin’s Marlay Park on June 26, the tour will include stops in Belfast, Manchester, and Edinburgh, featuring rotating support acts such as Slowdive, Mogwai, and The Twilight Sad.
A Legacy of Live Excellence
Known for their haunting melodies and introspective lyrics, The Cure remains synonymous with emotional depth and sonic innovation. Their 2024 Troxy concert in London showcased their ability to deliver unforgettable live experiences, while their surprise collaboration with pop star Olivia Rodrigo at Glastonbury further highlighted their cross-generational appeal.
As ambassadors for the Teenage Cancer Trust, The Cure will also curate a week of concerts at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 2026, continuing their tradition of giving back to charitable causes.
