Barcelona Rock Fest has unveiled a major wave of confirmations for its 2026 edition, taking the line-up to 28 bands as the event prepares to celebrate its tenth anniversary. The festival will once again take place at Parc de Can Zam in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, just outside Barcelona, from Friday 3 to Sunday 5 July 2026.
The new announcement is headlined by Swedish “war metal” specialists Sabaton and Californian punk rock mainstays The Offspring, who join previously confirmed headliners Helloween, Twisted Sister, Powerwolf and Accept. According to the organisers, the goal is to offer “a vibrant mix of heavy metal, punk rock and hard rock” that appeals to several generations of rock fans.
Sabaton’s appearance is expected to provide one of the most visually elaborate shows of the weekend, with their trademark tanks, pyrotechnics and military-inspired staging accompanying songs about historical battles and wartime episodes. The Offspring, meanwhile, will bring a catalogue of punk rock staples such as Self Esteem and The Kids Aren’t Alright, adding a more melodic and generationally familiar angle to the festival’s final day.
The depth of the bill is reinforced by a series of influential names from different branches of heavy music. US thrash veterans Testament, currently promoting their album Para Bellum, will represent the Bay Area school; long-running punk institution Bad Religion will add a socially engaged hardcore-punk perspective; and US rock band Breaking Benjamin contribute one of the most contemporary-leaning sets aimed at younger audiences.
Stylistically, the programme ranges from the tongue-in-cheek glam metal of Steel Panther to the extreme sounds of grindcore pioneers Napalm Death and modern metalcore outfit Bleed From Within. Classic heavy and hard rock is represented by Japanese icons Loudness, Swiss stalwarts Gotthard, melodic rockers Tyketto and retro-tinged act Blues Pills, while German acts Primal Fear, Orden Ogan and Hiraes add power metal and melodic death metal to the mix.
Spanish and Basque groups also feature prominently. The line-up includes Los Barones, revisiting songs popularised by Barón Rojo; the band led by Evaristo, known for his role in La Polla Records and associated with foundational Spanish punk anthems; Latzen, Chino Banzai, Dünedain and Rienda Suelta, underlining the organisers’ stated intention to balance international headliners with domestic names. Tribute acts Motörhits (Motörhead) and Stingers (Scorpions) complete the current roster.
Three-day passes are on sale via the festival’s official website (BarcelonaRockFest.com) at €205, with VIP options and single-day tickets also available. Organisers highlight that Barcelona Rock Fest has “consolidated itself as a key date for both national and international audiences”, noting that in previous editions the Parc de Can Zam has hosted bands such as Slipknot, Scorpions, Judas Priest, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Running Wild, King Diamond and many others.
With more artists still to be announced in the coming months, the 2026 line-up aims to underline the festival’s original objective: offering “a three-day musical experience” where younger fans, long-time metal followers and families can share the same space under the banner of rock and metal.
