Lollapalooza India 2026 Opens in Mumbai With Linkin Park and Playboi Carti Headlining

Fourth edition returns to Mahalaxmi Racecourse on January 24–25 with 40+ artists across four stages

🗞️ Published: 24 January 2026 · Updated: 24 January 2026

Lollapalooza India returns to the Mahalaxmi Racecourse on January 24 and 25, 2026, for its fourth edition, consolidating its position as one of the country’s largest international music festivals. Organisers have confirmed a 40+ artist lineup spanning rock, hip-hop, pop, electronic and indie music, with performances spread across multiple stages over two days.

This year’s festival is headlined by Linkin Park and Playboi Carti, two acts that represent very different strands of contemporary global music. Linkin Park’s appearance marks a major moment for rock fans in India, with the band’s catalog continuing to resonate across generations. Playboi Carti, meanwhile, brings a modern hip-hop set shaped by trap, experimental production and a strong youth following.

Beyond the headline slots, Lollapalooza India 2026 places strong emphasis on variety. British artist YUNGBLUD is set to deliver his punk-influenced alternative rock, while American R&B singer Kehlani adds a contemporary soul and pop dimension to the program. The international lineup is further bolstered by pop-rock band LANY, singer-songwriter Calum Scott, and Japanese pop phenomenon Fujii Kaze, whose growing fanbase in India reflects the festival’s increasingly pan-Asian reach.

Electronic and alternative audiences are also well represented. Synthwave group The Midnight joins the bill alongside producer Knock2 and UK electronic names such as Sammy Virji. Hip-hop fans can expect additional energy from Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely and Homixide Gang, expanding the festival’s rap and trap offering beyond the main headliner.

A key component of Lollapalooza India remains its commitment to local talent. Acts such as Bloodywood, Ankur Tewari, and electronic duo OAFF–Savera are among the Indian artists featured, reflecting the growing visibility of the country’s independent music scene on an international stage.

The 2026 edition arrives amid a broader boom in live music across India, driven by younger audiences with rising disposable incomes and a growing appetite for large-scale cultural experiences. Organisers expect tens of thousands of attendees across the two days, supported by expanded production, hospitality zones and improved crowd-management infrastructure at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse.
